Domains & SSL Configuration
Connect your domain and make your application available at your custom URL.
1. Adding a Custom Domain
You can connect your own domain (e.g. yourdomain.com or app.yourdomain.com) to any Aureon project in a few simple steps:
- Open your project in the Aureon dashboard.
- Navigate to Project Settings → Domains.
- Enter your domain name in the input field and click Add Domain.
- Aureon generates the required DNS records for your domain.
2. Configuring DNS Records
Log in to your domain registrar or DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains / Squarespace, AWS Route 53) and add the records provided by Aureon:
For Apex Domains (e.g. yourdomain.com)
Add an A Record:
- Type:
A - Host / Name:
@(or your root domain name) - Value / Target: Aureon IP address provided in your console
- TTL: Automatic or 3600
For Subdomains (e.g. www.yourdomain.com or app.yourdomain.com)
Add a CNAME Record:
- Type:
CNAME - Host / Name:
www(or your subdomain prefix) - Value / Target:
cname.aureon.app(or target provided in console) - TTL: Automatic or 3600
3. Domain Verification & Propagation
After configuring DNS records:
- Aureon periodically queries DNS servers to verify that records point to our infrastructure.
- DNS updates require time to propagate globally across internet resolvers. Most updates take 15–30 minutes, but certain registrars may take longer.
- Once detected, the domain status changes from Pending Verification to Verified.
4. SSL and HTTPS
Aureon automatically provisions and renews SSL/TLS certificates for all verified domains:
- Certificates are issued through trusted automated Certificate Authorities.
- HTTPS is enabled by default with HTTP-to-HTTPS redirection.
- Certificates renew automatically before expiration without requiring manual intervention.
Note: If your domain uses CAA DNS records, ensure they authorize Let's Encrypt or standard authorities to issue certificates.
5. Removing a Domain
To disconnect a domain, navigate to Project Settings → Domains, click the ... menu next to the domain, and select Delete. After removal, update your DNS registrar to avoid dangling records.
